On July 27, 2024, the coastal towns of Carpinteria, Summerland, Montecito, and Santa Barbara blossomed into vibrant displays of floral artistry, marking the 30th anniversary of Florabundance. The event, fittingly named ‘Petals of Appreciation,’ transformed these charming communities into living galleries, with installations ranging from whimsical, towering creations to more delicate, intimate arrangements. “This event truly showcased the dedication, creativity, and community spirit that have defined Florabundance since its beginning,” remarked Joost Bongaerts, CEO of Florabundance.

At Florabundance, ‘Petals of Appreciation’ was seen as more than just a celebration of 30 years in business—it was a promise for the future. “The success of the event highlighted the deep sense of community and the timeless charm of fresh flowers. As the day concluded, the flowers from the installations were donated to the Dream Foundation’s Flower Empower program, bringing joy and beauty to those who need it most. This event was a reflection on three decades of growth, innovation, and community—a true celebration of the impact of flowers and the incredible people who make it all possible,” says Florabundance’s CEO.
