Rose Garden, Hettie-SA

Hettie David Austin® garden roses have striking rich pink rosette blooms. Hettie pops open to say hello extremely quickly, creating a star rosette at her center, surrounded by a ring of neat, layered outer petals in a lighter pink fuchsia tone. While Hettie has no fragrance, it does have a long vase life. 12 stems per bunch.

Once the roses arrive:

  1. Unpack your roses as soon as possible.
  2. Keep the packaging in place, to support the stems during hydration.
  3. Cut about 1″ from the base of each stem.
  4. Place the stems in water with flower food to aid hydration, improve opening and increase vase life.
  5. Rehydrate stems for 4-6 hours in the coolest place possible.
  6. After hydration, remove all packaging. Space the stems in the buckets of water to make room for the blooms to open. Retain guard petals as they will disappear as the bloom opens.
  7. Place the stems in an ambient room temperature to encourage opening.
  8. Opening will take about 2 days. Once opened, place back in a cool area until you are ready to work with them.
